Learner-focused interventions
Literacy & numeracy tools:
Signing up to Engage is free for educators and students, who will immediately have access to thousands of free titles. Engage combines our collaborative e-learning products into one platform, so that teachers and students have easy access to everything they need to teach and learn in the 21st century classroom.
We have partnered with organisations such as Scholastic, to make tools such as Literacy Pro, which is designed to increase literacy levels and reading engagement in students, available on our Engage platform.
Study assistance programmes:
Through our partnership with Oxford Publishers we also have access to interactive content such as the Zoom In interactive series. Covering the major South African subjects for Grades 10–12, in both English and Afrikaans, the Zoom In interactive products are designed to help learners tackle tough exam concepts, giving them the confidence to conquer all their exam questions. Interactive resources are integrated throughout, providing opportunities for self-assessment, as well as increased engagement, leading to deeper understanding of the subject matter.
Digital library and content:
The library is a cost-effective way of enabling students to access not only prescribed textbooks, such as the ‘Graded Readers’ catalogue in multiple languages, but age-appropriate literature ranging from classic fiction, to children’s books and more, encouraging students to engage more in reading. The school’s library is a patron-driven resource to suit the educator and students’ interests and the school’s annual library budget.
